Brood en Bier is a 2-player strategic game in which you harvest resources, improve your village and sell beer and bread by playing cards. Each card can be used in three ways: for harvesting, expanding the village or selling beer and bread. You receive cards in different ways depending on the round. In a strong year, you trade hand cards, while in a lean year you can trade limited cards using the trading card deck. The player who has produced the most beer or bread after six rounds wins. But beware, your final score is determined by the least number of products produced. This makes for a challenging dynamic in which strategic choices and player interaction are key.
